Online therapy intensives  for moms  in  Texas  &  Massachusetts

you want relief now, not in months

You don't want to spend weeks slowly unpacking something that already feels urgent. You want to understand what's going on, make sense of it, and know what to do next — without dragging this out over time.

Weekly therapy can be helpful, but it often means starting and stopping, trying to hold onto progress between sessions, and squeezing everything into a small window of time. By the time you've caught up from last week, the session is almost over.

An intensive changes that.

Instead of spreading this work thin across months, we set aside dedicated, uninterrupted time to go deep — so you actually move through what's going on, instead of just managing it week to week. You leave with real clarity, relief in your body, and a concrete path forward.

An accelerated approach to therapy for the mom who likes deep, contained support.

A therapy intensive is a focused, extended session, "almost like a retreat",  where we spend several hours working through what’s going on—without having to stop, pause, and pick back up week after week.

Instead of trying to make progress in small pieces over weeks at a time, we create the space to look at everything at once.

This allows you to slow down, get clarity on what’s happening, get tools now, and actually move through it in a more complete way.

what is an intensive?

Weekly therapy is built around gradual progress, and for some women, that pace works. But for a mom who is already stretched thin, the stop-and-start cycle of weekly sessions can work against healing. You spend the first few minutes catching up, the last few winding down, and in between, the momentum fades and real life fills back in.

Research tells us that the effectiveness of therapy isn't dependent on stretching it out over time — it's tied to the quality, focus, and structure of the work. Concentrated therapy formats have been shown to produce meaningful results, often faster, because they create what researchers call a larger therapeutic container — uninterrupted time that allows your nervous system to actually settle, process, and shift.

For a mom running on empty, that momentum isn't a luxury. It's often what makes real change possible.

When you’re in early motherhood, things don’t always wait for your next session.

Why intensives for moms work

what's included in a weekend intensive

Pre-Intensive Session

Customized Intensive Experience

Personalized Workbook & Kit

Post-Intensive Integration Session

Before your intensive, we meet for a focused session to understand what’s going on and what you need support with right now. We’ll clarify your goals, identify what feels most urgent or unresolved, and make sure we’re using our time together in a way that’s intentional and aligned with what you actually need.

You’ll receive a customized workbook designed around your specific goals, what you’re navigating, and what we’ll be focusing on during your intensive. This includes guided prompts, practices, and space to help you process before, during, and after our time together. You’ll also receive a curated intensive kit via mail with supportive tools to help you stay grounded, engaged, and supported throughout the experience.

Your intensive is fully tailored to you. We’ll spend dedicated, uninterrupted time working through what’s coming up—whether that’s making sense of a transition, processing something unresolved, or getting clarity on what needs to change. This is not a one-size-fits-all session. It’s a focused, personalized experience designed around your needs, your capacity, and what will actually move things forward.

After your intensive, we’ll meet again to process what came up, integrate what you’ve learned, and talk through your next steps. This helps you carry the clarity and shifts from your intensive into your day-to-day life—so you’re not left trying to figure it out on your own.

weekend therapy intensive can help you:

How does this sound?

help you understand what is going on with you in postpartum, and create a plan for holistic postpartum recovery and restoration

if you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or burned out and needing immediate clarity on what’s actually driving it and how to recover

if you're working through something specific that feels urgent—like a conflict in your relationship or something that can’t wait weeks to address

if you're feeling emotionally dysregulated or on edge and needing support to actually calm your body and feel more in control

make sense of who you are now in motherhood and needing space to process that transition without dragging it out over months

when you need space to process something difficult or unresolved—like a birth experience, postpartum experience, or something that’s recently been triggered

I've been a therapy consumer most of my life, and after becoming a mom, I sought support too. But no one was talking to me about matrescence, about postpartum recovery, about what was actually happening in my body and my identity. I didn't want to just cope better. I wanted to understand what happened to me and actually be well.

I also know what it's like to not always have an hour every week to give to therapy and to wish I could just go deep, process something fully, and walk away with the tools to move forward right then and there.

That's why I created this offer. Because I see it with my own clients too; moms who want to go wide and deep in one focused space, not chip away at something for months.

If you're going to invest a weekend with me, I want you to know: I built this because I wish I'd had it. And I show up to every intensive as a therapist, a mom, and a woman who deeply believes you deserve to be well in this season — not just surviving it.

the version of motherhood you want is closer than you think

You don’t have to stay stuck in this

Is one 4-hour session enough?

Weekend Therapy Intensive for Moms  isn’t meant to “fix” everything in one day — but it is enough to create a major shift. You’ll walk away with immediate relief in your body, a clear roadmap forward, and tools you can use right away. Many of my clients feel lighter, clearer, and more steady after just this session. And if you want ongoing support, weekly therapy can serve as a powerful continuation point.

How quickly will I feel a change?

Most moms feel something during the intensive itself — less tension in their chest, calmer breathing, or a clearer head. The pre-session, intensive, and integration call are designed so you don’t leave wondering “what now?” You’ll notice short-term relief and know exactly what to do next to keep the shifts going.

I’ve tried therapy or coaching before. How is this different?

Weekly therapy and coaching can be powerful, but they often stretch things out. Therapy intensives gives you concentrated, tailored support in one immersive session. Instead of waiting months to feel momentum, you’ll leave with a curated plan, practical tools, and a reset for your body and mind. Many moms use this alongside therapy or as a jumpstart when weekly sessions feel too slow or unfocused.

What if I’m newly postpartum? Can I still do this?

Yes. In fact, a weekend therapy intensive can be a powerful support in early motherhood. I believe the postpartum period is sacred, and a challenging time for many women as they respond to the huge changes your body and brain are moving through. At the same time, most postpartum recovery programs miss the most foundational support—restoring your biology, supporting your nervous system, and honoring the Matrescence transition.

That’s where intensives come in. Together, we’ll create a comprehensive, body-led postpartum recovery plan that goes beyond “bounce back” culture and truly supports your healing, regulation, and sense of self in this new season of motherhood.

What if I am not sure I will have the energy for an intensive?

That's a completely valid concern — and honestly, most moms who come to an intensive are already running low. You don't need to show up energized or "ready." You're allowed to show up exactly as you are — tired, depleted, unsure. That's exactly who this is designed for.

Breaks are built into the experience, and we move at a pace that honors your body and your capacity. You won't be pushed beyond what feels okay. Many moms are surprised by how held and supported they feel throughout — and how much lighter they feel by the end, even when they arrived on empty.

What if I wait until things calm down?

Motherhood has a way of staying full — a new season always follows the last one. And the version of you that's exhausted, stretched thin, and quietly wondering when you'll feel like yourself again? She deserves support now, not someday. The longer you wait, the longer you go without feeling rooted, nourished, and well in your own life. And you worked too hard for this life to keep moving through it on empty.

I still have questions. Can I talk to you?

Absolutely. You can send an email to me directly at vanessa@matrescenceincolor.com or DM me on Instagram @matrescenceincolor and I’ll help you figure out if this is the right fit for you. And that's what the free 60-min consultation is for too; so you can ask all the questions you have. You can click here to book a consultation. Zero pressure, just real support.

Can I use my health insurance to work with you?

If you live in Massachusetts or Texas (where I’m licensed as a therapist) and you’d like to use your insurance,  I’ll provide superbills you can submit for possible reimbursement if your plan offers out-of-network benefits. I am not an in-network provider. You will need to check in with your insurance provider for more details, and you can also learn more about fees and investment here.

Are the intensives online or in person?

All intensives are held online via secure video, so you can receive deep, personalized support without having to leave your house. As a mom and therapist who works from home, I’ve found that virtual therapy intensives for moms are not only convenient, but just as impactful, especially for moms juggling work, kids, and everything in between. That said, you get to choose how you experience it. Some of my clients stay home and cozy up on the couch with tea. Others arrange childcare, take the day off, book a hotel, or even travel for the weekend to turn their intensive into a full retreat.

How do I know if an intensive is right for me?

If you’re feeling like something needs attention now, and you don’t want to spend weeks or months slowly working through it—an intensive can be a really good fit. This is especially helpful if you’re looking for clarity, direction, a plan, or support around something specific that feels urgent, heavy, or hard to carry on your own. If you’re not sure, we can talk through it together and decide what makes the most sense.

What’s the difference between an intensive and weekly therapy?

Both support the same kind of deeper work, but the difference is how we approach it. Weekly therapy is ongoing and unfolds over time. An intensive is a focused, extended space where we can work through something more fully without the stop-and-start of weekly sessions. It’s often a better fit when you want clarity or movement now, rather than over time.

What does an intensive experience look like?

It starts with a consultation call. On that call, we’ll talk through what’s going on and decide if an intensive is the right fit. From there, we’ll schedule your pre-intensive session—typically 2–3 weeks before your intensive experience—and choose the structure that works best for you (a Saturday intensive or a full weekend across Saturday and Sunday mornings).

That time also allows me to prepare your personalized workbook and send your intensive kit so you have everything you need going into the experience.

Then we’ll hold your intensive. This is dedicated, uninterrupted time to focus on what’s going on—without the usual demands of your day-to-day life. Many clients describe it as feeling like a private retreat. Some arrange childcare, some book a hotel for the weekend, and some even travel in to fully step away and give themselves this space. After your intensive, I’ll often recommend ways to support yourself—whether that’s rest, integration practices, or time to process what came up.

Then we’ll meet again 3–4 weeks later for a post-intensive session to check in, integrate what’s shifted, and talk through your next steps.

How do I get started?

The first step is booking your free consultation call. We'll talk through what's going on, what you're hoping to get from the intensive, and make sure we're a good fit. From there, we'll choose your intensive dates together. Once we're confirmed, I'll send you some prep work to complete before we meet for the intensive. This helps me design your intensive around exactly what you need, so that when we show up together, we can hit the ground running.
