They told you that being tired all the time is 'just part of motherhood'. That holding it together for everyone else is noble. That wanting more time for yourself is selfish. But here’s the truth: this was never about you being “too much” or “not enough.”

This is how the system keeps you too busy, too tired, and too disconnected. We don't get the support and resources we need to recover well from pregnancy and postpartum. And then, later, this is how we stay stuck surviving instead resting, and being, and enjoying life. And the first place that stress shows up is right in your body.

We were handed a version of motherhood that feeds on our burnout and praises us for disappearing.

Survival served you. 

There is sacred wisdom in how you learned to cope with stress — especially when you needed it most in early motherhood.

A few years into motherhood and now, your body wants something different. It wants you to stop carrying it all; the late nights, the constant doing, the pressure to handle it all. It shows up in your shoulders, your stomach, those headaches, in your sleep.

Most advice says "think positive" or "take a bubble bath". That’s not what we do here.

I guide moms of color back to themselves with my Matrescence Self-Reclamation Method — a body-first, nervous-system-rooted framework that helps you feel better in your body first. So stress softens, energy returns, and you remember who you are beyond the never ending to-do list.
