Question for you....
book a consult
Are you craving a space where you can navigate the challenges of early motherhood surrounded by other moms who truly understand what you're going through?
Actually, let me rephrase that...
What if you had a space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported as you navigate the first few years of motherhood—a space that allows you to connect with other moms of color who are also striving to find harmony in the juggling of the demands of motherhood while striving to maintain their sense of self.
This is about more than just shared experiences; it’s about creating a community where your struggles with perfectionism, identity, postpartum, Matrescence, and the pressures of modern motherhood are understood and validated, all while helping you reclaim your sense of self and satisfaction in motherhood.
you're not alone
Motherhood is often portrayed as a beautiful, joyful experience—and while that’s true, it’s only part of the story. As a mom of color navigating the first five years of motherhood, you’re likely facing challenges that run deeper than the surface. You’re not just balancing diapers and deadlines; you’re wrestling with a perfectionism that tells you that good is never good enough, an identity crisis that leaves you wondering where the old you went, and a constant pressure to meet expectations that often feel impossible to achieve.
You find yourself questioning your choices and feeling like you’re always falling short—whether it’s at home, at work, or within your own mind.
There’s little to no margin for yourself in your life, making it hard to find the joy you expected to feel every day in motherhood.
You crave satisfaction in your role as a mom, but the demands of modern motherhood often leave you feeling drained and overwhelmed.

introducing...
different from the rest
What sets this motherhood support group apart is the deep commitment to understanding motherhood through the lens of Matrescence—the profound transformation of becoming a mother.
Every aspect of this group is designed to support your sense of self as both a woman and a mom, especially as you navigate the intense societal and external pressures that come with this role.
The focus here is on helping you define and living out motherhood on your own terms.
And that's why I got you
Modern motherhood can feel isolating, especially when you're trying to meet impossible standards on your own. The truth is, you’re not meant to carry the weight of it all by yourself. With the right support, you can navigate the challenges, find your footing, and thrive—not just as a mom, but as the whole woman you are.
HI mama, I'm Vanessa... And
I kept seeing the same tired-ass conversations in groups—endless discussions about the surface-level struggles of motherhood, and I got tired of that shit.
I’m here to go deeper with you because it’s not enough to talk about how you can’t pour from an empty cup. The truth is, you pour from that empty cup every single day, and what you really need to figure out what is draining your cup dry in the first place anyway. I want to help you redefine what it means to be a mother on your own terms, without the weight of unrealistic expectations.
Pushing the envelope in maternal health care, especially in mother-care work, isn’t just a passion of mine—it’s my act of rebellion against a system that asks you to give until there’s nothing left.
this is why i started this group, and I can't wait to serve you, and learn from each other!

How does enrollment work?
Enrollment for "Motherhood in Harmony" is based on an application process. Once you apply, if there is space available, you’ll be invited to join the current cohort. If the group is full, you’ll be added to our waitlist. When an opening becomes available in the next cohort, you’ll be offered a spot. You can choose to stay with the group for as many cohorts as you’d like, continuing your journey alongside other moms who understand and support you.
How often does the group run?
"Motherhood in Harmony" runs three times a year, each session lasting 10 weeks.
The group is structured around the seasons, with cohorts beginning in the fall, winter, and spring. We take a break during the summer (July and August) to allow for rest and reflection. And summer gets busy with folks traveling, and kids home during school breaks.
What topics will we discuss?
Is there a commitment required?
Yes, we ask that participants commit to attending all 10 sessions. This commitment helps maintain the integrity and continuity of the group, ensuring that all members receive the full benefit of the experience.
What else should I know?
To ensure an intimate and supportive environment, each cohort of "Motherhood in Harmony" is limited to 12 participants. This allows for meaningful connections and deep discussions that are central to the group’s purpose.
We understand that life happens. If you need to miss a session, I encourage you to inform me ahead of time. While I don’t offer makeup sessions, the group’s continuity is important, and we’ll ensure you’re supported and can catch up on what was discussed.
